Personal | Travel | Lake Tahoe CA

Last month we took a detour to Lake Tahoe to do some biking, hiking and non-snow activities. Alas, Mother Nature had something else in mind as the temperature dropped from 65 to the mid 30s and white snow covered the little city like a fluffy blanket. No matter what the weather, we always venture out for a long hike into the wilderness. We saw blue jays which have the exact same haircut as my husband (lol), giant pine cones, mossy trees and a bear sighting. David showed me how he made snow shoes out of pine tree branches although he wouldn't make them again; something about me already having enough shoes-ha! Here's a few wayyyy up in the middle of nowhere.

Lake Tahoe is the best! I have fond childhood memories of summer vacations in Tahoe including one summer when it snowed in June! Thanks for rekindling those memories and I would love to see that blue jay that snagged David's hair do!
