Weddings | Julie + Matt | Chicago

As I headed to LAX and checked my phone for the latest hour by hour weather for Julie and Matt's wedding in Chicago, I saw snow, then rain, then snow.  Snow in April? While it only rained a bit, weather surely took a backseat to the warmth felt in the air from Julie, Matt and their friends and family who traveled near and far to be a part of the day. Julie and Matt were married inside a beautiful tent outside The Westin Chicago Northwest and even braved the elements to have their portraits taken by the lake. The hotel was buzzing with adorable girls with purple dresses and dapper little gentlemen in the wedding party. As I photographed the guys getting ready, I remember Matt saying "whatever Julie wants. It is her day." It wasn't just the words but the way he said it that made me think it was not just "the day" but every day that Matt wants Julie to be happy. Always. Tear.
Julie and Matt: congratulations and thank you for having me be a part of your beautiful day. Another big thanks to Brian Kinyon for having me along as second shooter.
