There is a journal that Ahyoung and James have shared with each other throughout their relationship. A brown and ivory damask notebook with a magenta lining. Inside are photos and handwritten notes to each other from their dating days until now. Ahyoung and I had talked about the look of their wedding - romantic with vintage notes. For a techie couple who favors minimalist design, she was surprised at their choices but when I held their journal and watched friends and family leave handwritten notes to the couple next to a vintage typewriter in the Bel Air Bay Club's library, it made perfect sense. Their love is of another time. A time when things moved slower and people took the time to express their feelings. The way that Ahyoung fixes a button or straightens James' collar reminds me of that time. James collects watches but Ahyoung is really the only other hand that he'll ever need as they move forward in time together. Ahyoung + James: thank you for letting us take over journal duty for your beautiful day
